New York Pro Championship
The IFBB New York Pro Championship, also known as the New York Pro, is a professional bodybuilding competition, as well as a separate physique, women's fitness, women's figure competition, and women's bikini, organized by the International Federation of BodyBuilders (I.F.B.B.). Prior to 2005, the bodybuilding competition was known as the Night of Champions. The women's fitness and women's figure competitions have been held under the New York Pro name since 2002 and 2003, respectively. These competitions run as entirely separate events, and on different dates from the bodybuilding competition. In 2005, bodybuilding was added to the New York Pro Championship.
From 2006 to 2007, women's bodybuilding was removed from the New York Pro Championship. In 2008, women's bodybuilding was brought back to the New York Pro Championship, but weight categories were removed, and 202 lbs and under men's bodybuilding was introduced to the New York Pro Championships. In 2010, women's bikini was added to the New York Pro Championship. In 2011, women's bodybuilding was removed from the New York Pro Championship. In 2012, 202 lbs and under men's bodybuilding became 212 lbs and under men's bodybuilding at the New York Pro Championships, physique was introduced to the New York Pro Championships, and women's figure was removed from the New York Pro Championships.
